Learn More about Gate MaintenancePhilip Ramos started Callahan Gate Services in Orlando in 2008, repairing driveway swing gates and sliding gates. The work now runs from new gates in aluminum, steel and wood to operator and motor replacement, safety sensor adjustment and access control hookups.
The customers are homeowners in Orlando, Winter Park and Kissimmee, landlords with rental properties, property managers with parking or entry gates, and small businesses that secure a yard or lot.
I learned gate work on a residential installation crew, hanging swing gates, setting operators and wiring control boxes. Today I do the site visits and estimates in person: I walk the gate line, test the opener and tell you what needs fixing and what can wait.

Give us the address and a short description of what the gate is doing, and we will set a time to come and look at it.
Works every time now.
Had Philip look over our old swing gate and opener before we put in a new fence. He checked the hinges, posts and motor and told us what really needed replacing and what still had years left. No upselling at all. Since he was that straight with us we're having him do the new install too.
Our sliding driveway gate stopped halfway open after a storm and wouldn't move either way. The tech came out the same afternoon, found a burned out control board, and swapped it. While he was there he greased the track and rollers too, which I didn't ask for. Cost was a bit more than what they said on the phone but he walked me through why and it made sense. No problems with it since.
Called callahan monday morning because our gate opener was beeping and wouldnt close, and they had someone out before lunch. Turned out the safety sensor was knocked out of line by the lawn guys. He realigned it and tested the remote too. Took maybe twenty minutes. Glad it was an easy one.
We had two other companies look at our swing gate that kept drifting shut on its own and neither fixed it. These guys figured out the post had shifted and reset it, then adjusted the arm. Gate holds open like it should now. Only knock is I asked for an itemized invoice for our HOA and it took a couple of weeks and a few reminders to get it. Work itself was great.
